Calvin Phillip Edwards, Sr

Mr. Calvin Phillip Edwards, Sr., 75, of Harrisonburg, VA, entered into eternal rest on March 4, 2019.  Born December 3, 1943 in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Willie Byrd and Mary Elizabeth Edwards. He attended Cumming Street High School and furthered his career in Air Conditioning and Maintenance. He was a member of Divine Love Fellowship in Harrisonburg, VA.

Calvin was preceded in death by his son, Sidney (Edwards) Thomas; his daughter, Beverly Shell; his sister, Viola Simpson; three brothers, Fred Edwards, Frank Edwards and A.B. Edwards; and his grandmother, Mae Harvey.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories is his wife, Evelyn Manley Edwards of Harrisonburg, VA; four sons, Reggie Fields of Alexandria, VA, Bryan Edwards and Calvin Edwards, Jr., both of Harrisonburg, VA, and Darron (Laron) Williams of Raleigh, NC; three daughters, Lorraine (Ronald) Prater and Angelia Edwards, both of Spartanburg, SC, and Reginia Fields of Suitland, MD; two brothers, Troy Edwards of Spartanburg, SC and Paul Edwards of Greenville, SC; twenty grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Memorial Service will be held Sunday, March 10, 2019 at 2:00 PM, at Serenity-Murray Mortuary Chapel, located at 930 Chesnee Hwy, Spartanburg, SC 29303. The repass will immediately follow the Memorial Service at the home of his daughter, Angelia Edwards.

The family is at the home of his daughter, Angelia, located at 589 Wingo Rd, Roebuck, SC 29376.
