Mr. J.C Mosley, 66 of 4919 Hoops Street, Philadelphia, PA folded his earthly tent on July 28, 2019 at Lankenau Medical Center Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He was born in Saluda, Newberry County, SC on August 15, 1952. He was the son of the late Elisha Mosley, Sr and Lucy A. Mosley Simpson. He attended the Schools of District 55 Sanders High in Laurens, SC in the 1970's. In his younger years, he was a member of Scurry Springs Baptist Church in Chapells, SC. In 1997 he became a member of the Small Gospel Choirs at Christlike PG Faith Baptist Church of Philadelphia, PA and as of February 2002, he started attending the Church of the Redeemers Baptist Church of Philadelphia, PA. He was employed by Louis Dolente and Son Construction Company and Madison Construction Company, he majored in Brick Masonry.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Flora B. Wallace, Willie Abney, Lula B. Campbell and Maddie Abney; brothers, Willie James Abney, Eugene, Robert, Allen and Elisha Mosley, Jr; sisters, Elizabeth Latimore, Daisy Jenkins and Lucy M. Allen.
J.C leaves to cherish memories of his life, his wife Mrs. Betty Mosley of Philadelphia, PA; two daughters, Stacey Simmons of Laurens, SC and Danine Mosley of Philadelphia, PA; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy (Rufes) Brown of Gray Court, SC and Audrey (W.C) Copeland of Laurens, SC; two brothers, Alfred (Tracy) Mosley and David (Vivian) Mosley both of Laurens SC; uncles, William (Vernell) Bonds of Hamilton, OH and Moses Wallace of Greenwood, SC; one aunt, Dorothea Hermany of Ashville, NC; one sister-in-law, Gertrude Edwards of Philadelphia, PA; a special niece and God-daughter, Mrs. Rochelle (Kevin) Brown-Latimore of Gray Court, SC, extended family Lillie (Kenny) Neely of Laurens, SC and Sammie Simpson; eight nieces; sixteen nephews; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
