Johnny McGowan

Mr. Johnny McGowan, 78, passed away on November 3, 2018 in Greenville, SC, and is now resting in the care and keeping of a loving and merciful God.

Born to the late Sam McGowan on April 19, 1940 in Laurens, SC, he was a pipe fitter by trade and of the Baptist faith.

Left to treasure his memories and legacy are two sons: Theodore Bowen and Gene McGowan, both of Greenville, SC; two daughters Brenda Bowen and Margie Drummond, both of Greenville SC; two brothers Sammy McGowan of Laurens, SC and Rufus McGowan of Greensboro NC; two sisters Alice McGowan of Greenville, SC and Barbanell McGowan of Greensboro, NC; six grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends and love ones.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00pm, Friday November 9, 2018 at Serenity-Murray Mortuary located at 930 Chesnee Hwy., Spartanburg, SC.
