Vera Mae (Johnson) Little

Ms. Vera Mae Little, 91, entered into eternal rest December 18, 2018,  with her family by her side, at Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, South Carolina. She was born on March 23, 1927 in Lavonia, GA to Octavia Little and Ves Johnson. She was of the Baptist faith.. She received her education in Hart County Schools. She was employed and retired through the Greenville Hospital System where she served in Housekeeping Services. Vera Mae enjoyed playing Bid Whisk and picture puzzles with family.

Vera Mae had 2 brothers, Eb Johnson and George Johnson; and 2 sisters, Flora Lee Wynn and Vesta Lee Higginbottom, all whom have preceded her death. She was married to the late Alvin Little  for several years until his death ant through this union, they had 2 children.

Vera Mae is survived by her sister, Bertha Mae Heard, of Hartwell, GA; a daughter, Betty Faye Thompson (Dennis), of Greenville, SC; a son, Willie James Little (Willie Mae), of Jonesboro, LA;  five grandchildren, Willie M. Little (Kim), of Laurens, SC, Jerrod D. Brandon, Ann Little and Dee Little, all of San Antonia, TX and Cathy Thompson, of Greenville, SC; eleven great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 1:00 PM at New Light Baptist Church, located at 229 New Light Church Road, Lavonia, Georgia. Final viewing will be at the church at 11:00 AM, prior to the funeral service.

The family is at the home of her grandson, Will and Kimberly Little, located at 515 Parkview Drive, Laurens, SC.
