Deanna L Dawkins

Ms. Deanna L. Dawkins, 55, a native of Spartanburg, SC entered into eternal rest Tuesday, June 2, 2020, surrounded by family.  Ms. Dawkins was the daughter of the late Billy Gene Shippy, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Howard Shippy both of Spartanburg County. Ms. Dawkins was a member of New Salem Zion Baptist Church of Pacolet, SC. 

Survivors include, one son: Timothy Brian Dawkins of Spartanburg, SC; one daughter: Brandi Felicia Dawkins-Johnson (Daryl) of Spartanburg, SC; three brothers: Billy Shippy, Jr. of Jonesville, SC; Jakeem Shippy (Ebonie) and Edward McBeth (Nakima) both of Pacolet, SC; two sisters:  Robin Felicia Shippy and April Patrice McBeth both of Pacolet, SC; seven grandchildren; two adopted children: Kelviona Crook and Kelvin Crook both of Spartanburg, SC; a host of nieces and nephews; and she leaves her best friend Morris E. Hill, Jr. along with other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents Ms. Dawkins was preceded in death by one sister, Sherry Renee Shippy.

Memorial services honoring the life journey of Ms. Deanna Dawkins will be 1PM Saturday, June 13, 2020 at the Serenity-Murray Mortuary.
