Jessie Mae (Maragne) Dogan

Ms. Jessie Mae Maragne Dogan, 96, of Spartanburg SC entered into eternal rest Saturday, January 23 , 2021 at home, with her daughter by her side. Ms Dogan, was the widow of the late Mr. Willie Ray Dogan. She was a native of Laurens County and the daughter of the late Willie Maragne. After moving to Spartanburg County, SC, she joined the Hardy Chapel Baptist Church. She later joined the Macedonia Baptist Church, where she served faithfully until her health declined.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Carolyn Mae Dogan; two sisters, Nettie Ruth Means and Christine Jackson; three brothers, George Maragne, Willie James Maragne and Charles Maragne.

She leaves to cherish her memories: One daughter, Ms. Linda Dogan Porter of the home; one son, Mr. Eugene (Fran) Dogan of Spartanburg, SC; two grandsons, Mr. Anthony F. Stewart and Mr. Travis Dogan; one step- grandson, Mr. Kedrick Smith of Georgia; one step-granddaughter, LaBinka Wallace; two great-granddaughters, Ms. Kennedi Harris of Augusta, Ga; and Ms. Kelis Robinson; godchildren; Reverend Archie (Ruby) Calhoun, Robert (Gail) Brewer, Linda Martin, Juanita Cross, Patricia Miller, Stan Rookard and Theo English; and host of nieces and nephews and other loving relatives and dear friends.
