Mr. Willie Hearst Jr, lovingly known as “Breefa,” entered into eternal rest at the age of 61. A native of McCormick, SC, he was the son of the late Eleanor Hearst and the late Willie Hearst Sr. Born July 16, 1959, Wille was loved by many and had a multitude of friends. He loved all of his children and grandchildren, and was constant in their lives.
In addition to his parents, Willie was preceded in death by one son, Terrell Freeman and daughter-in-law, LaToya Freeman.
Willie leaves to cherish the memories of his life: His loving wife Brigitte Hearst; three sons, Noricco Freeman (Monique), Rodreyous Kelley, and Jodriguel Kelley (Jasmine); five daughters, Arista Johnson (Kris), Zurijanne Carter (Roosevelt), Brittanie Kelley, Viola Kelley, and Thalondra Jones; fifteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a host sisters and brothers; aunts, uncles and cousins; and dear friends.
Willie’s life journey was not one of ease. However, through hills and valleys, and with every step he drew closer to a loving, merciful, gracious, and forgiving God. His love of God radiated through him. He shared his love of God with his children, and every individual he came in contact with. He often focused his studies on knowledge and understanding from the word of God. This knowledge made Willie a positive influence in the community. He was a contributor to the McCormick Messenger Newspaper often vocalizing his various views as a concerned citizen. He cared about the youth of the City and the continued growth of his hometown of McCormick, SC.
Willie will be forever missed as a father, brother, friend and man after God’s heart.
